Elizabeth "Betty"(Mattero) Guarente, age 64, passed away on February 11, 2018. She was a resident of Marcus Hook and a graduate of Chichester High School class of 1972. Betty was known for her gentle spirit and contagious smile; she will be dearly missed.

Betty worked at Vesuvio's Pizzaria in Chester and at The Word Christian Bookstore in Aston where she was a loyal and compassionate friend to all in need.

Betty enjoyed quiet moments at home with loved ones, her husband's delicious cooking and travelling, she especially enjoyed the magical wonder of Disney World.

Betty was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Mattero.

She is survived by her beloved husband Richard "Rick" Guarente, her mother-in-law Esther Barlow, her daughter Christina Iacono, her mother Teresa (Iacono) Mattero, her brother Charles Mattero, her sisters Gloria Milnes, Teresa Austin, and Vanda Collins and many loving nieces and nephews.

Betty was immensely courageous throughout the past year as she battled cancer with strength and perseverance. Betty will forever be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Relatives & Friends are invited to her Visitation Saturday Morning, February 24th 9:30-10:15 AM followed by her Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church 21 W. 8th St. Marcus Hook, PA 19061. Interment Private.
