WHALEN

Marieann A. "Chouch", age 84, of Chester, PA on August 21, 2018.

She is survived by her brother, Joseph Whalen and nephew, Joseph A. Whalen, Jr. (Margaret) and Linda J. Wagner (Ron).

Marieann attended the Philadelphia Academy of Music and studied at Vienna Music Academy and got her Masters Degree at Widener University.
She was very active in her church and she was the third generation of the Whalen family to be President of the Ukrainian Woman's Organization, President of the St. Mary's Junior Chapter, where she led many activities for the young people, which she enjoyed the most.
She will truly be missed by so many of the lives she touched.

She was a private piano teacher for over 50 years, had 15 godchildren, and was very active in her church. She also loved, travel, writing and skiing.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Viewing on Saturday, August 25 ^th , 8-10 AM at the Kanifeski, Kendus and Danjolell Memorial Home, 3900 W. 9 ^th St., Trainer, PA 19061.

Funeral Mass to follow at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 2412 W. 3 ^rd St., Chester, PA 19013.  Interment Lawn Croft Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Ukrainian Gift of Life, c/o St. Mary's Ukrainian Church at the above address would be appreciated.
