KASPER

Michael Kasper, age 85, of Glen Mills and Media, Pennsylvania, passed away on July 30, 2022, after a brief illness.

A proud Ukrainian, Mike was born in Kawsko, Ukraine in 1937 to Stefan and Paraskewija (Gelecki) Kasper.  Born under Soviet occupation on the cusp of World War II, Kasper and his family were transported by boxcar to Germany as forced farm labor during the war.  Following the conclusion of hostilities, the Kaspers made their way to England and eventually settled in Chester, Pennsylvania.

A man of great physical strength, Mike worked the Philadelphia docks as a stevedore; for the Ford Motor Company at the Ford Assembly Plant in Chester; and for decades at the Franklin Mint.  He was fluent in 6 languages: Ukrainian, Polish, Russian, German, English and Spanish.

Preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, his wife of 56 years, Helena Kasper née Pazdalska, and a son, Henry.

Michael is survived by three step-children and several step-grandchildren.

Relatives & friends are invited to his graveside service Wednesday August 10 th 11:30 a.m. at The National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Road, Doylestown, Pennsylvania 18901.
