MICHALCEWIZ

Rosalie (Wolk) Michalcewiz, age 81, formerly of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Sunday morning, January 19, 2020, at the Regal Heights Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hockessin, DE.

She was born in Chester, Pa, and was a 1956 graduate of Chester High School where she was co-Valedictorian with her dear friend June (Locke) Trudnak.  After graduation, she worked for the DuPont Company at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, Delaware for 13 years, then as a homemaker.  She was a lifelong member of St Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Church where she served as the Secretary of the Church Council for many years.

Among her many joys in life, Rosalie loved trips to the Brigantine shore, the Phillies, baking, entertaining, cooking, her home, and family.  The greatest joys in Gaga's life, as Brynn and Erin affectionately called her, were her granddaughters, who she loved spending time with.

Rosalie was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie (Cycyk) Wolk and her husband William T. Michalcewiz.  She is survived by her loving son William W. and daughter-in-law Michele Michalcewiz, dear granddaughters Brynn and Erin Michalcewiz, sister-in-laws, Mary Ann and Irene and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family would like to thank the staff of Regal Heights for their kindness and compassion in caring for Rosalie.
