Kosinuk
1921~2022
Rose (nee Lagush), age 100, long-time Upland resident, passed away at home on February 25, 2022.
She was the wife of the late John Kosinuk with whom she shared 56 years of marriage.
Born in the West End of Chester, Rose was a graduate of Chester High School, class of 1939, and the Taylor Business School. She began working at the McLaughlin Law Office in Chester, was employed as a secretary with DuPont's in Wilmington, DE, and retired as an Executive Secretary after 20 years with Boeing-Vertol.
Rose enjoyed cooking and baking a variety of delicious meals, especially pierogies and halupky, and her cakes were out of this world. She shared her extensive recipe collection with her family. She was a Girl Scout leader and a Sunday school teacher and a faithful parishioner of St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Chester. She travelled throughout the US and Europe and made detailed photo albums of all her trips. One special family trip in 2009 was to visit her mother's small village in Drohobych, once part of the region of Galicia, now part of western Ukraine. She loved being outside either working or enjoying nature, trips to the shore, the color purple, and her little Pekingese, Tao. She was simply the best Mom and Grandmom and wife and her ever present smile, her generous spirit, and her warm embrace of everyone will be remembered forever.
Survived by her children Karen Voigt (John O.), and Robert J. Kosinuk; her 3 grandchildren, Kristen Kostick (Matt), Kelly Horn (Matt), and Russell Voigt; and her 4 great grandchildren, Luke, Drew and Grace Kostick and Colin Horn.
Predeceased by her parents Julia and Teodor Lagush; her brothers Charles, Phillip, and Alexander also her sisters Mary, Sophie, and Anne.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation on Friday, March 4, 2022
