Green-Hoffman
Sally Ellen Green Hoffman, age 72, of Trainer, PA, passed on February 28, 2020.
Predeceased by her parents, Samuel William Green and Alice Blake Green; husband Michael, daughter Molly Hoffman; sister Claire Ann Green Kokoszka and brother Michael William Green.
She is survived and celebrated by her dedicated daughter Michele Hoffman; her 3 adoring grandchildren; Cameron Joseph Valentine, Oliver Jackson Hoffman-Gallagher and Alice Green Hoffman-Gallagher; and loving sisters Teresa Mary Ewing (Thomas A. Ewing, Sr.), Geraldine Powers Green and brother Stanley Kokoszka.
Sally graduated from Notre Dame high school in Moylan, in 1965. She was employed by the U.S.Government Department of Defense, Westinghouse company, Scott Paper, Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center, Sacred Heart Hospital and most recently Chester Crozier Medical Center.
Some people will remember that Sally was a party girl with a funky ballroom, cruised around in a powder blue VW bug, loved beers and burgers at the Plumstead in Media, and co-owned a restaurant called "James Joyce & Company" in South Philly - in her earlier years. She was a rebel. She was sassy. She had whimsy. She lived in New York for a year when she turned 18 - because she was bold and she could. She was always an ally in all ways, always. She welcomed everyone without judgment and was a best friend.
Later she graduated to a minivan, for drives to Rehobeth Beach or Mountain Lake Resort, to drive Molly and Micky to dancing school, band, and volleyball practice. She was always an expert chef and hors devours connoisseur. Her veggie pizza was delish, she never met a cake she didn't love, and her party sherbet punch was a dream come true.
Sally was giving and generous to those in and outside her home until the time she passed. She gave everything she had, however, she could.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, March 5 th from 5:00 PM-6:45 PM with a Life Celebration Service to follow at 7:00 PM at the Kaniefski-Kendus-Danjolell Memorial Home 3900 W. 9 th Street, Trainer, PA 19061.
