Stanley J. Macielag
1944-2016
Stanley J. Macielag, age 72, passed away at Crozer-Chester Hospital on Saturday, October 15, 2016. The son of Stanley and Maryann (nee McCloskey) Macielag. Stan was born and raised in Ridley Township. He was a graduate of Ridley High School and attended Delaware County Community College. He was an inspector for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, District 6, for over 30 years working first in road construction and later with the Traffic Division inspecting the installation of cameras and electric signs. A Chester resident since 1980, following his retirement in 2014 Stan moved to the Residences at Chestnut Ridge. He is survived by his many cousins and his numerous friends at the Upland Diner, his favorite hang.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Hedwig's Church, 2623 West 4th Street, Chester. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 West Cheltenham Ave., Philadephia. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Hedwig's Chapel Repair Fund at the above address.
